Terms of use
Last updated 24 October 2026
These terms apply to the Quixplain browser extension and quixplain.it, operated by Aiakaki AS (org. no. 937 074 212, "we"). By using Quixplain you agree to them. See also our privacy policy.
Your account
You need an account to use Quixplain. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.
Plans and prices
Free gives you 5 requests a day. Plus costs 49 NOK a month or 490 NOK a year. Pro costs 99 NOK a month or 990 NOK a year. Enterprise is agreed separately. Each plan has a daily limit and a set of features, shown on the front page. At checkout the price is shown in your local currency, and VAT or sales tax is added based on where you are.
We may change prices. If you already have a plan, your price stays the same until we have told you about the change at least 30 days ahead.
Billing and cancellation
Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically every month or every year until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe. You can cancel at any time with Manage subscription in the extension or on the account page; your plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. We do not refund part of a period.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries the card for about three weeks and you keep your plan while it does. If no payment goes through, the subscription is cancelled and your account goes back to Free.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in Norway or the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Quixplain starts the moment you pay. At checkout you agree that the service starts immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once it has started. Refunds beyond this are at our discretion. A refund ends the subscription.
Limits and fair use
Each plan has a daily number of requests. Automated or bulk use, scripts that call Quixplain for you, and other attempts to get more than your plan allows may be rate limited or suspended.
AI answers
Answers are generated by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. This includes fact-checks and message checks: a "Looks fine" verdict does not guarantee a message is safe. Prices and ratings found on the web can change or be wrong. Do not rely on Quixplain for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions; check important information with a reliable source.
Your content
You keep the rights to what you save, upload and write. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run Quixplain for you and the people you share with. Only save and share text, files and images you are allowed to, and respect the rights of the sites you read. If someone reports that content in your library breaks the law or someone else's rights, we may remove it.
When you share a folder as "Can edit", the people you share with can add to it, and what they add belongs to them. The folder owner can stop sharing at any time.
Sharing in the community
You can share a published quiz in the Quixplain community, where anyone can play it and copy it into their own library. Only share what you have the right to share: pictures taken from other websites are left out, except openly licensed ones such as those on Wikimedia Commons, and you confirm that your own pictures are yours to share. Quizzes are checked automatically before they're listed. No hateful, sexual, violent or harassing content, no personal information about private people, no spam, and nothing meant to mislead. Anyone can report a quiz; reported quizzes may be hidden while we review them, and we may take down a quiz that breaks these rules and tell you why. You can take your quiz out of the community at any time. The community is open in Norway for now.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Quixplain to break the law, harass others, or create harmful content.
- Do not try to get around limits, access other users' data, or overload the service.
- Do not resell or automate access without our permission.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. A paid period is not refunded in that case.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Quixplain running, but it may be unavailable at times, and features and limits may change. If we remove something your plan includes, we will tell you ahead of time.
Liability
Quixplain is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made based on AI answers, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the last twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
Ending
You can stop using Quixplain at any time and delete your account from the account page. Deleting your account cancels any subscription and removes your library. We may end the service with reasonable notice; if you have paid for time you will not get, we refund that part.
Law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes go to the Norwegian courts, unless consumer law gives you the right to use the courts where you live.
